I have been a list maker for as long as I can remember. I make "to do" lists. I write down my hopes, my dreams, my ideas and my goals. I believe that the first step towards achieving a goal is writing it down. Writing it down makes it real to me, like it is really something that can happen. Once I write something down I look at it again and again. It haunts me until completion.
One of my favorite quotes is "Fortune favors the prepared mind" by Dr. Louis Pasteur. This means that nothing happens by luck or happenstance. Every great success takes preparation. That is why I keep a journal near me at all times. I have a collection of them. Some of them are full, full of hopes, dreams and the possibility of future journeys. Some of them are untouched. Full of clean sheets of paper full of possibility.
Possibility...that is why I journal.
